Mozilla Live chat is the third means of support mechanism to the fire fox users round the world. The other two Fire fox support systems in the form of Firefox Knowledge Base or Forums are already in place, and is part of the Mozilla community’s effort to make fire fox the really useful web browser.
Who are the Fire fox support agents
Fire fox support agents, who will provide the live chat support, are not extra-ordinary people. They are the people just like you and me, but a bit more experienced in using Firefox. They are the volunteers, who come forward themselves to serve the community by sharing their knowledge. They work from their own places using their own PCs. They just have to download and install the Spark client in their OS. Spark is a third party application that, combined with the server-side Openfire software, lets these Fire fox live chat support members take questions from the users who access our Live Chat support through a web interface.
How to seek Fire fox live chat support
Users seeking support can visit Firefox Support and search the Knowledge Base to see if the problem is a well known one. On search results they are offered additional support options (live chat and forums).
If an expert is available for the live support, an awake colorful Foxkeh image like this will be shown.

Otherwise, when the live support is not there, the image will be like this.

When can I get the live support
The hours of operation reflect when helpers are reliably around to help. Since these are the times that Fire fox tells its users to come by, this is when they need extra help.
The hours of operation are…
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9am to 12pm PST (GMT -8)
- Tuesday and Thursday: 1pm to 4pm PST (GMT -8)
- For Saturdays, Sundays and holidays see their after hours policy.
Live chat support is in beta though.

Fire fox is wonderful. It has changed the way we used to browse the net. And the best part is that it has been continuously evolving itself to get better and better.
The latest buzz is that the Mozilla Labs has announced about their latest project, which has been nicknamed as Weave, which will allow you to store your browser data including bookmarks, history, and customizations on a Mozilla Serve in a similar manner as Google Browser Sync.
we believe that Web browsers like Fire fox can and should do more to broker rich experiences while increasing user control over their data and personal information.
Going further, Mozilla has been aiming to allow “developers to build innovative online experiences.” However, I could not figure out exactly what kind of experiences Mozilla is talking about.
It is still in its initial alpha release - compatible only with Fire fox 3.0 beta 2. If you are a web developer and know what exactly it is all about, you can test it here at Mozilla Labs.

Mozilla Fire fox is the preferred browser of the “informed netizens”. There is no doubt about that. The only substantial reason of the higher market share of Internet Explorer, is just that it is shipped bundled with the most used OS on the world, period.
When we think of “informed netizens”, Bloggers are the first presons, which come to my mind. Bloggers, who are full of creativity, who think critically, well I mean most of them if not all, and bloggers, who have to design and redesign their blog layouts and themes. For them, Mozila fire fox is the best web browser.
Did you say Why?
Just check out our Why Firefox section.
If you are not convinced, let me give you three more reasons. These are three essential Fire fox extensions, which are must to have in your tool kit.
FireFTP: I know you have been using Filezilla, or some similar FTP program for uploading your themes and plugins to your web server. They are nice, they are popular. But one inherent disadvantage is that they are stand alone FTP clients. Which means, you have to leave the comforts of you web browser and start a new program, if you have to FTP files to web server. However, FireFTP is a safe FTP client application, which is light-weight, and runs within your browser window itself. Use it, you will love it. However, one drawback is that, it doesn’t support SFTP.
ColorZilla: When you like at the color of a pixel on any web page extremely good, and want to use that color in your theme, how do you do that. You have to know the exact hex color code of that color. This fire fox extension ColorZilla, allows you to get that hex code in seconds. There are many other uses also for this useful firefox extension. There is another useful program called Color Cop, which you may also like to look at.
IE Tab: And finally, if you ever had tweaked the template or theme of your blog,
you must be knowing, how important it is to test the theme in all the popular web browsers, specially Internet Explorer. It is not necessary, that if your template is looking perfect in Fire fox, it would also be looking equally nice in Internet Explorer. Your visitors may be using IE, and your theme, must be equally good for them as well. This Fire fox extension IE Tab, allows you to launch a new tab, which shows how the web page will look like if it was opened in Internet Explorer.
Cool nice Extensions. Go, grab them. They are free, obviously.

Tentative Fire fox 3 icon set is out.
During the process of development of a web browser of the stature of Fire fox 3, the browser icons are generally finalized in the later beta releases because first things are the stabilization of the Browser User Interface. However, there is a lot of curiosity among the users regarding the icon set, because they are a major part of the user expeirence. And Mozilla Fire fox 3 is no exception.
How Mozilla Fire fox icons look like
A tentative first look has just been released for the Mozilla Fire fox icons. It is expected that Mozilla Fire fox 3 will contain approximately 120 icons on each of the four platforms. Many of these icons are still drafts.
You also can have a look at these Mozilla firefox icons here.
